Montrose Community Church
Montrose Community Church (MCC) exists to share the message of God's salvation, nurture believers in their walk with the Lord, and offer opportunities of fellowship to provide strength and support. MCC's beginnings can be traced to the post-flood years of 1936-1937 when the present church building was dedicated by Aimee Semple McPherson, the well-known pastor of Angeles Temple in Los Angeles.
Pastoral Appointments:
1936 - 1940 Wayne Brown.
1940 -1941 Evan Adams
1941 - 1946 Lester Sund
1947 - 1979 Charles Svendsen
Pastor Svendsen's faithful tenure saw a lot of ministry, organization and growth. The church was a prominent feature during Fuller Seminary's formative years and many of its faculty members were occasional ministers in the pulpit.

The ministry and history of MCC has been one of mission involvement and support. The church has been consistent in sending missionaries all over the world, and faithfully supporting the work of missionaries serving in various parts of the world.
